Why Now?
Phoenix Just Made It Easier to Build on Your Property
In November of 2023, Phoenix City Counsel put into effect new regulations allowing for casitas and accessory dwelling units to be built in the backyards of pre-existing homes. This change is intended to improve affordable housing options, in particular by giving families the option to house adult children or aging grandparents in livable units in addition to creating a new market for long-term renters.
